The Boys Who Said NO! had its inspiration at a reunion of 70 Bay Area Vietnam war resisters and nonviolent activists in San Francisco and Mill Valley on July 6 and 7, 2013. The reunion provided a unique opportunity to interview these activists, many of whom went to prison for their personal resistance to the war. We felt a responsibility to document the gathering so that audiences, including future generations, might take inspiration from hearing what they did, why they risked going to prison, and what impact it had.
We are proud of the highly experienced film crew that we assembled who are contributing part of their time to this documentary project.
